Our Younger Baby Lounge
Our Younger baby Lounge (Little Acorn) is a safe, nurturing, natural environment providing lots of opportunities for our little ones to explore, learn and reach milestones. The babies participate in lots of sensory activities such as treasure baskets, loose part play in our heuristic area and messy activities such as body painting, sand / water play and cornflour play
We follow the care plans of each individual child in our care, which incorporate a home from home transition, Our baby lounge has custom made wooden beds and sleep pods that allow our little ones to regulate their own sleep and nap times throughout the day, Children become less resistant to rest when the confines of cot bars are gone.
A Daily diary will be given to each child when starting in our baby lounge. These provide daily communication between the parents and the room staff including information such as Activities,
food intake, nappy changes and sleeps throughout the day.
Staff ratio is 1 adult to 3 children, for children from 6 weeks- 17 months. Children will form close bonds with their key person during their care. Babies have the opportunity to explore the garden daily and go for walks in the local environment. They also have the opportunity to spend time with older children, as a family environment would be. Making friends and forming bonds while learning using their senses.
Play Days Academy Ltd is a professionally maintained day nursery that complies with the EYFS guidelines and is registered with Ofsted. We have a fully qualified staff that are fully DBS checked and extensively checked according to our Safe Recruitment Policy.
