What does the funding look like at Play Days – Leicester?
At Play Days – Leicester, we stretch the funding to offer it throughout the year. Your child’s annual funding entitlement of either 570 hours or 1140 hours will be applied to your booking over 52 weeks. If your child is eligible for 15 hours, you will receive 10.96 hours per week all year round. A child eligible for 30 hours will receive 22 hours per week all year round.
At Play Days Academy- Leicester, we offer funding alongside an Enhanced Provision Charge (EPC) for each funded hour. We believe our offering is truly excellent. However, we recognise the significant cost of childcare and want families to understand what the EPC covers and how it is calculated.
Enhanced Provision Charge
At Play Days Academy- Leicester we will apply an Enhanced Provision Charge for each funded hour allocated to your child – the EPC for our nursery can be found on the website alongside the main nursery fees. The Early Years funding covers only the basic delivery of the Early Years Framework and is not designed to cover all of the consumables and other extras that help Play Days – Leicester deliver an exceptional experience for your children. Any absences from nursery are charged as normal. The EPC is calculated for the whole funding period based on the total number of funded hours we will pass on in the term. This total charge will then be divided equally across the months covered by the funding period. You can use the tool below to estimate your cost per week.
Our Food
All meals and snacks will be provided for your children. We pride ourselves on the quality of our food. Our menus are designed in house and prepared fresh daily by on site cooks.
Our Activities
We have a Sports coach who comes in once a week to lead physical & sports sessions.
Our Environment
We invest heavily in our environments, and the resources that your children use and learn from. Exciting outdoor play areas combined with innovative and durable resources to inspire play and promote learning.

your code will be validated with the local authority & submitted on your behalf to release your funding

Remember to reconfirm your eligibility every 3 month’s

WHAT OTHER FUNDING OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE?
There are a number of other government childcare & funding initiatives to help ease the burden of nursery care:

- Extra Working Tax Credit to help cover childcare costs for existing claimants. If you already claim tax credits, you can add an extra amount of Working Tax Credit to help cover the cost of childcare.

Childcare Vouchers – The scheme has been discontinued, but existing users can still use them.
Childcare vouchers have been discontinued and you can no longer apply for these but if you are an existing user you can still use them at our nurseries to pay for your childcare fees.

We regret that there can be no charge reduction for holidays or absence due to illness or closure that are beyond our control.
Fees are payable weekly or monthly, per calendar month via debit card, Bank transfer or cash payments.
